Lincoln School
KAMPALA, UGANDA

Lincoln School, the premier private school in Uganda, commissioned Triad to design its new campus at Lubowa Hill on the outskirts of Kampala. The new campus, set on a hill site, allows the school to undertake a planned expansion. Its present constricted site in the centre of Kampala was a block to such a plan.

The new campus consists of a full junior, intermediate and senior school, with accommodation for 600 pupils. Different age groups are grouped around central Administration and Library facilities and there are full sporting facilities including a sports field, running track, swimming pool and a large covered sports hall.

The initial contract for Phase 1 of the school was for 4,800 square metres at a cost of US $3.2 million. Triad provided master-planning services, project co-ordination and architectural design, working with a full range of other building consultants to provide a total design service for the project.
