Kibimba Rice Mills
KIBIMBA, UGANDA

Working with Tilda’s mill designers in UK, Triad prepared designs for the envelope of the new rice mill at Kibimba and co-ordinated the local manufacture of the mill and entablature in Kenya. Contracts were let for the civil engineering work under a separate tender and the mill structure was erected on a prepared foundation, which include the sub-structure for the silo and bins.

Various ancillary buildings were also designed for the project and Triad assisted with advice for the procurement of electrical engineers, the manufacture of electrical boards and other mechanical services. The project is on-going from 2001. This project is funded by an IFC
loan.
