Bruce House
NAIROBI, KENYA

Bruce House was built in 1971.

Triad Architects were selected as the architects for the rehabilitation of Bruce House through a public competition. The building comprises of a 13-storey office block with two levels of shops and two parking levels.

Both parking levels are well lit and equipped with heat detectors and automatic fire sprinkler systems. Each floor is also equipped with smoke detectors and fire fighting equipment and the main stairs and fire escape stairs are ideally located for quick evacuation.

The rehabilitation works involve enhancing the overall aesthetics of the building and improving the electrical, mechanical and plumbing and drainage services so that the building is user friendly, with improved circulation and control in terms of security and management, with a view to attracting tenants to the building where the most attractive selling point is two levels of parking for 300 cars in the heart of the city.
