Nairobi Hospital -South Wing
NAIROBI, KENYA

Triad Architects were commissioned to design a private wing of 36 en-suite rooms at the Nairobi Hospital. The three-storey building is suspended on top of a parking area, with parking facilities for 68 cars and located at the hospital's end overlooking Ngong Road.

The new building has been designed to blend in with the existing Nairobi Hospitals building where natural bush-hammered stone has been used as cladding. Each floor will accommodate twelve rooms fitted with the latest decor and bunked seats next to the window. Curved balconies to the rooms create a good backdrop to the building facades.

The South Wing is patient friendly and has a peaceful atmosphere to accelerate recovery. Patients admitted are currently on the first floor of this wing and are receiving five star services which include state of the art medical facilities and a choice of meals from an a-la-carte menu.
