Nokia Telecom Corporation NAIROBI, KENYA Nokia commissioned Triad Architects to plan the fit-out of their Nairobi office. The main challenge in the project was that the client had no representative in the country and Triad therefore had the responsibility of managing the whole project from the planning, through the construction phase to the handing over, with the project progress being reported to the client via weekly telephone conferences. Planning an office for a renowned client like Nokia was challenging and Triad had to ensure that the design and the material and colours used reflected the quality expected by the client. The office fit-out, which was completed in mid-January, had to be carried out during the Christmas break and Triad had to intensify site supervision to ensure that the tight programme was met. The choice of the proper contractor for this job was a key criterion because of the limited time scale and to ensure workmanship of international standard. The project, which was completed in January 2006, portrays the desired straight-forward, high quality design, complemented by a pleasant and contemporary colour scheme. Back to Projects List
