Chloride Exide/NAS

The project consists of a three-storey building designed to accommodate the operations of Chloride Exide and Kenchic and car parking for seventy cars.

Each company has the need to provide a customer service facility and to accommodate its management and sales staff.An inventory of all staff in each company was made, including customer services facilities and shared facilities, to arrive at an optimum building size. All the space provided is flexible and fully serviced, allowing planning of open plan as well as cellular offices.

The building comprises three floors organized around a three level atrium. It is a reinforced concrete frame with masonry infill. Externally it will be finished in applied render. The roof will be Saflokroofing system on a steel structure

The ground floor comprises a shared reception and commercial centres for each of the firms. There are bays for Chloride exide customers battery charging and changing. The atrium area will be used for display of Chloride Exide merchandise.

The first floor accommodates Chloride Exide’s offices and a laboratory. It also has a shared kitchen and refreshment facility, board rooms and training rooms. Kenchic’s overseas operations are also accommodated on this floor.

The second floor comprises of Kenchic’s offices. There is a spare wing that can be let out to others as well for future expansion of the establishments.
