Coca-Cola East & Central Africa Head Office - Nairobi

 

The official opening of the Coca-Cola East & Central Africa (ECAD) Head Office was held on Friday 12th September 2008. The ceremony was officiated by His Excellency Honorable Mwai Kibaki, C.G.H., M.P., President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kenya.

The architects for this landmark project were Triad Architects in association with GAPP Architects & Urban Designers of South Africa. The function was graced by The Coca-Cola Company Chairman Neville Isdell, Coca-Cola ECAD President, Nathan Kalumbu and a host of other prominent personalities. James Gitoho, Charles Ndungu and Sam Thumbi represented Triad Architects.

Located in the Upper Hill area of Nairobi this new Coca-Cola complex is the head office for 27 countries in East and Central Africa. The main contractor for this project was Seyani Brothers & Co. Ltd.

The project was completed in August 2008 at a total cost of US$ 9 million. Uniquely designed with a host of environmental features, this exiting new building is a landmark in the Upper Hill area and the City of Nairobi.
